General Questions

Currently, we do not participate in any insurance networks. We operate on a private pay basis and are classified as an out-of-network provider. Habla Bilingual Speech-Language Therapy, PLLC can provide your family with a 'superbill,' a document that serves as a receipt/invoice for services rendered. You may submit this superbill to your insurance for potential reimbursement. We advise reaching out to your insurance provider beforehand to confirm their acceptance of superbill submissions prior to initiating services.

We accept checks, credit cards, debit cards, cash, and Zelle. Payment is expected at the time of service, and a credit or debit card must be kept on file, regardless of the chosen payment method.

If your child is not meeting their speech and language milestones, it is crucial to arrange for an evaluation. Following the evaluation findings, we can determine if treatment is necessary. It is essential to take action early rather than adopting a "wait and see" approach.

We operate as a mobile private practice serving NYC, Westchester County, and nearby areas. Our services are available in-home, at daycare centers, preschools, and through virtual tele-therapy.

Prior to beginning services, an evaluation is necessary. This allows us to assess the child comprehensively and identify specific areas requiring focus in therapy. We welcome external evaluations conducted within the past 6 months.

The initial step is to arrange a complimentary consultation. Following the receipt of your concerns, we will coordinate an evaluation. Evaluations generally last 1-2 hours, tailored to your child's individual requirements. Throughout the evaluation, we will examine the client's medical background, conduct clinical observations, administer assessment tools, conduct caregiver interviews, and, if necessary, teacher interviews. The evaluation will be tailored to be culturally and linguistically sensitive, utilizing both informal and formal assessment methods. Following the evaluation, the SLP will compile and prepare an evaluation report, typically within 1-2 weeks. Subsequently, we will arrange a meeting to discuss the evaluation report, address any inquiries you may have, and develop a treatment plan with goals established through collaboration between your family and the SLP.

Therapy sessions are scheduled for 30 minutes. The final few minutes of each session will be dedicated to reviewing the session, assessing progress on goals, and providing parents with education on implementing therapy strategies at home for better carryover.
